The Session Attendance Simulation Survey (SASS)

Instructions: (1) Go to www.ngcrc.com and study the 100+ courses, (2) decide which ones you like, (3) simulate how you will spend your 24 hours by selecting those 24 hours of courses you would like to attend while at the conference, (4) place a check or “X” by each session number that you would like to attend. Count it, make sure it is about 24 hours, then put in the mail to the NGCRC.

Deadline for return of this survey: Postmarked on or before July 24. Final schedule based on this survey will be posted at the website August 1, 2010.

Name (Print Neatly):____________________________________

(Your name is optional unless you want to change your track or sign up for the double major below)

Please Note: This is only a “simulation”, this does not “sign you up” for the courses. You sign up for the courses by the technique of “voting with your feet” (except for the tours and receptions of course which you had to sign up for): You attend any session you are eligible to attend (note a small number of the 100+ sessions may cover case sensitive information and are thus restricted to Law Enforcement, etc).

Q & A About the SASS:

Q: Is the SASS the way I sign up for classes?

A: No, we do this only to get a better understanding of the preferences of the persons attending the conference, the informationis used only to manage a more effective conference.

Q: What if I wanted to take just part of a course?

A: That is fine, the smallest time segment you can get credit for is a thirty (30) minute segment or 1/2 hour; we call that “session sampling”, it is quite acceptable. If it was a two hour class, and you wanted only one hour from it, no problem just mark in “1" hour with or as your check on the SASS.

Q: Do I really have to do this work?

A: No.

Q: Is this a good exercise for someone attending the conference?

A: Absolutely, yes. It helps you study the curriculum, to form choices (you can’t attend everything, most of these classes are not repeating, they happen once only). It helps you customize your training experience.
